Animal Testing

Many of the issues cons who do not agree with their animal experiments since the start of the animal testing experiments several years ago. However, the development of the times, many new companies are emerging today. The increasing number of new companies established, meaning many new products that will be produced. Therefore, increasing the amount of testing new products, the number of animals used for experiments is also growing. It can be estimated that the number of animals used for experiments in the world in one year is more than 20 million animals. Conducting experiments using animals is more immoral than directly conducted experiments using human. So, the company or the government should legalize animal testing.

Animal experiments have contributed a lot in rescuing human lives and treatment. The California Biomedical Research Association states that in recent years, the biomedical creating medical items and conduct experiments on animals. One example is the animal experiments in 1998 many people affected by polio. In that year, medical experts making the polio vaccine and conducted experiments on animals. Polio cases suffered deterioration, initially 300 000 cases in 1998 to 223 cases in 2012.

Moreover, there is no other alternative to conducting experiments on living beings in addition to the animals. If in making something of items associated with the system of the human body is to be tried, it will harm the human body. Therefore, the animal is another alternative that can be used for experiments. Animals can be used as a trial for almost an animal cell and animal body system similar to the system of the human body. An example is the 99% chimp DNA and body system similar to humans and mice that 98% is the same as human DNA.

Experiments conducted on animals is inhumane and cruel acts. According to the Humane Society International in animal experiments, the animals were always tortured, burned supposed to do a drug trial burns and was ruled forced to inhale cigarette smoke to know the side effects of smoking. However, in article 302 of the Penal Code in Indonesia noted that the experiments performed on animals for the sake of health or human life were not a violation. In Islam also explained that using animals for experiments is not an infringement during the experiment was carried out for the benefit of humans.

Therefore, animal experiments in the world for medical purpose or else it is allowed. It was all due to a lot of resources or people who have supported their experiments on animals. Rather than do human trials are costly and there are many laws enacted, it is better to experiment on animals. However, experiments on animals should be done humanely. The point is not to torture these animals and conduct experiments as necessary for animals is also one of the creatures created by God.
